About TestGen & Test Bank Files
TestGen is a computerized test generation
program, available exclusively from Pearson Education publishers. You
install TestGen on your personal computer (Windows or Macintosh) and
create your own tests for classroom testing and for other specialized
delivery options, such as over a local area network or on the web. A
test bank, which is also called a Test Item File

Comprehensive test banks accompany many of the textbooks from Pearson Education publishers, and in many cases they are TestGen test banks. To download a test bank, search for your textbook. Once on the textbook listing page, scroll down and click the TestGen test bank title. The download time varies depending on the size of the test bank.
Installing the TestGen Application
1. Go to the TestGen website at http://www.pearsoned.com/testgen.
2. Click on "TestGen."
3. Log in using the same login name and password you use for MyPoliSciLab
4. Follow the instructions there to download and install the TestGen application.
Download Test Banks
1. Go to http://www.pearsonhighered.com/educator.
2. In the “Search our catalog” box, enter the Author, Title, or ISBN of your text and click Go.
3. In the search results section, click on the title and edition you are using.
4. Click the Resources tab on the product page. If instructor resources are available, they will be listed here.
5. Look for TestGen in the list of resources and click the “View downloadable files” link below it. (If this link does not appear, the test bank is not yet available for download.)

8. Save the file to your hard drive, either on the Desktop, in the My Documents folder, or in the testbank folder in the TestGen directory.
